Tempewytch's Crafts and Stuff

Quick update

I had hoped to have some photos of the stunt stitching which people have been doing for me, oh and some photos of crochet but things have been conspiring against me! First off my camera died a death (which was annoying as it was a nice and easy one to use *sigh*) but I managed to get another one but then I realised that I needed Dr Wytch's help with the photos so the next real chance is going to be the next Bank Holiday!  Ah well hopefully by then I will have plenty of crochet to show off (don't hold your breath though folks!)

In other news, the cleaners are working out well, so that is a weight off my mind, my mood is improving with better weather and so I have started looking at the tarot again (I also got glasses for close work which is helping all round as well!), I still need to do some sorting and try and get my desk area a bit clearer but this will all come in time.

I'm a bad blogger!

Back in November I had all theser great ideas about blogging every couple of days (certainly weekly!) but then my lack of health got in the way, some stunt stitching has been done (remember to take photographs!), but not much is happening crochet wise (other than building up a yarn stash .... oops!), but I am getting a cleaner :D this means the house will be straight, I can stop bursting into tears at the drop of a hat when looking at the house and I can concentrate on getting me fit and healthy and getting my crochet done :D

Ooh not good!

I haven't blogged on here since last year! I need to take some photos (stitching that was stunt stitched and came back! and I finished my scarf *grin*), so this is a quick note to get me back blogging (I blogged on healthy living as well), getting back slowly to Wartime Rations, I want to do more crochet, I have books to read, yarn to wind, cleaning and clearing to do! (all of which is a trifle tricky when right hand/arm is basically numb along with the finger tips of my left hand (makes typing tricky!)

Anyhow this is me back (I hope!)

Eeep!

Not blogged for a while (which goes against what I hoped to do starting in November *sigh*), but I hit a major depression dip and things were not good, still I am back now and hoping to be better.  This week will be a bit weird and wonderful BUT I hope to get plenty done around the house AND get on with some crochet as well and next week should leave plenty of crochet time (yay!).

My main jobs today are to get the cards written and catch up on things like this blog (and on-line journals in general), I am waiting in for a delivery so I don't want to be too far from the front door at any given time (although I have done the bits of cleaning I can do in the bathroom AND I might get the kitchen cleaning done as well).  I might keep doing small posts just to keep me on track ... hmmm decisions!

Nine Years and Counting

Today is my ninth wedding anniversary and I couldn't be happier love wise! Other stuff hmm not so sure about :-

1.     Cut up CC
2.    Get below 300 pounds
3.    Keep the sofa clear
4.    Dust around the lounge weekly (not happening as pelvis is playing games)
5.    Keep my desk clear - sort of
6.    Keep coffee table clear
7.    Pull a tarot card daily - yes
8.    Blog each blog at least once a week (excluding recipe blog which is ad hoc) - yes
9.    Listen to "Teach yourself Welsh"
10.    Finish crocheting the pot holders
11.    Crochet a scarf
12.    Meet with Ota and go through sweater pattern
13.    Crochet sweater
14.    Sort out underwear (and get some nice new bits)
15.    Get scented Votive candles and use them!
16.    Find a new recipe a month for a year
17.    Try on jeans every Sunday until I fit in them again and then start wearing them - well I fit in them JUST, need to lose a bit more to be comfortable wearing them out
18.    Wear make up when going out - yes
19.    Clear CC - in progress
20.    Clear the space under the alcove shelves
21.    Tidy bedroom
22.    Get more stitching outsourced and done
23.    Do NaNoWriMo
24.    Get on VoiceChat

So things are happening just not as fast as I would like, ah well keep plodding on I guess! (and keep crocheting the scarf - I want to get that finished)

7th November and things are going well

First week of a new year almost done and things are going well , I was another pound down this morning which means that my goal of being under 300 pounds is creeping closer (4 more to go), I tried on my jeans last night , I could get them over my hips and ALMOST fastened so the target for that may not be as far away as I thought .

The recipe blog is going well, I know I wanted a new recipe a month going on there, well this month has already hit two recipes added so that is good , now to finish this blog and type something in my healthy living one as well (hmm need to email someone re stunt-stitching as well).  What else? Oh yes NaNoWriMo - nearly 30k words done already at this rate I will be done by the end of the week , which means more time for crochet

Money - well having chatted with Dr Wytch over the weekend we have come to the conclusion that clearing the CC as soon as possible is a good move, so every couple of months or so Dr Wytch will chuck £100 at it, add in the fact that I am paying £80 a month minimum this should really start making a difference (especially as stated I have cut the cards up), so you never know I may have that cleared by July next year after all (well I can hope) and if not then a fair chunk of it will be gone and that can only be a good thing.

Teach myself Welsh, this I think will be starting after NaNoWriMo, I am not sure I can cope with both at once - but yes that is the next thing on the list to get done.  Okay having done my NaNoWriMo this morning, as I say half an hour more playing catch up in various places and then crochet - I want to get the scarf out of the way in the next week or ten days so I can re-start the sweater (and maybe make a light lacy scarf for part of my Mam's Yule giftie )

Day three of the New Me

So far so good , Tarot cards being pulled, got my flu jab on Tuesday (so NSDs happening as I feel too crummy to go out ) the sofa is staying clear (well apart from a parcel that I took in for across the road, my handbag and the Ddraig Blewog!), the coffee table is as clear as it ever gets .

As well as this I am up to date on my NaNoWriMo and I am a third of the way through the pot holder - I was thinking about going out for Sunday lunch as Dr Dragon has an all day rehearsal BUT if I don't it is another NSD and would make 5 in a row if I don't spend before then , hmm thinking about it that way a bowl of home made soup is looking very tempting!

It is rather grey and over cast here at the moment - so I think I will cheer myself up by cutting my cards up and then doing an hours crochet before the docs re-opens after lunch (need to get my thyroid blood test results).  CC payments - hmm nothing going to happen with that until next Friday but then I will be back on track AND if I am really good I could make a double payment this month - which would go a long way to negating the stress spending of the last two months.

Okay off to get the scissors, then email Yarnscape and then a relaxing afternoon

New Year, New Me

The 1st of November is the real New Year for Pagans and with that in mind I have written not so much a list of resolutions but more hopes for the future, things I would like to achieve (somewhere between the 101 in 1001 and resolutions I think).

Before and After

We had some friends down for the weekend, and whilst they were here Toby got to have his first ever hair cut! Hand stripping, clippers on the soft fluffy fur, washed and dried (he was fine with all of it until the hairdryer bit!).  But here are a couple of before and after shots of the pooch.

Okay weight stayed the same this week, but after a week on pain killers that is not too bad, sold another book on Amazon (this should clear my negative balance , someone claimed that a book never arrived, amazing how everyone else's did! I now send 2nd class recorded *sigh*), hmm what else, well I have started making tentative plans for the new me , which will also mean starting a new diary I think, the debt busting will need to start over again but that is fine, today I have been trying to get some cleaning done (it HURTS majorly to stand and dust) and over the weekend Dr Tempewytch dragged the futon sofa out and we really cleaned around and under it AND cleaned all the slats as well (and Goddess there was enough fluff under there for another Cairn Terrier ).  It is nice to see the sofa with just my handbag on it and no other bits of "stuff".

As well as this we are gradually clearing some shelves (built in the alcove by the fireplace) we hope to get the filing boxes on there so that will clear space on the floor - so getting there slowly but surely!  Hmm thinking about it if Dr Tempewytch could clear his box of papers and I get rid of a standard craft lamp I have never and will never use then the boxes could go on the floor UNDER the shelves freeing up more space , crocheting will not happen until after the weekend (unless I meet a friend for lunch later this week in which case I will take something small with me), but I have started pulling a daily Tarot card again and I want to get back to NOT letting life get me down.
